The Brazilian defender is never far away from the gossip columns with English Premier League side Chelsea known to be big admirers, while there is also plenty interest from elsewhere.

Chelsea came close to striking a deal with Juve in the summer but the two clubs could not agree on a fee, and it remains to be seen if they can find a compromise in this window.

Meanwhile, the player also seems settled in Turin, with Marotta confirming unless a transfer request goes in, talks over a transfer with any club will not begin.

“Juventus’ policy is that if a player asks to leave, we won’t hold him back,” he said when quizzed about the rumours. “We know there’s interest from big clubs in Alex Sandro, but at the moment there are no negotiations.”
